| Nota de contenido con formato | The methodology used in this investigation was qualitative, this was determined by not<br/>only researching the information needed to conduct the research but also the tools (Questionnaire,<br/>interview) that were used to conduct it. The researchers were seeking to investigate and<br/>understand the level of English in Colombia; this allowed it also to be descriptive because it helps<br/>understand the basics of language learning in different states. The population that was being<br/>investigated was the Adventist schools in Uraba, Antioquia, which only included third graders;<br/>the pilot was done in Apartado Antioquia with the Adventist highschool there. The manner in<br/>which everything was conducted was by creating tools that we could use with the students. The<br/>Questionnaire was used to understand the ability that might have been obtained in their learning<br/>environment, it contained 6 questions that focused on reading, understanding and interpretation,<br/>simple questions that were based on what was being observed. The other tool was the interview<br/>that was employed to help understand what the third graders thought about English and to<br/>analyze whether or not they considered English an important subject to learn. The original goal<br/>for applying these tools in the school of Apartado was for the researchers to go personally and<br/>collect the data but because of some circumstances that arose, the tools were placed in the hands<br/>of the teacher of third grade so it was possible to collect the research and finally see the results of<br/>the tools.<br/> |
